The night of SBC Awards 2019 is getting closer, and the excitement is building up. An award known for celebrating the best in sports betting and iGaming, SBC Awards 2019 will gather 700 of the most influential industry executives to honour this year’s grand achievement.
This year, there will be 41 award categories – 18 Supplier awards, 14 Operator awards, 3 Affiliate awards, 4 Payment awards, and 2 Specialist awards (not necessarily in this order of importance).
Ruud Gullit and Kirsty Gallacher will host this year's SBC Awards. The ceremony will be held at Battersea Evolution in central London on Tuesday 3 December with high-performing operators, payments providers, affiliates, and suppliers honoured for everything they've done in the past 12 months.
Richard Gale, Vice President - Sports at 2018 Affiliate of the Year winner Catena Media, said:
The SBC Awards is one of the best events of the year. It’s always a fantastic evening and is also a very relaxed environment. Quite often the industry meets up at conferences and people are busy running around and doing deals, but because this is a purely social event, it is really nice just to meet up with industry friends and share a beer in a more relaxed environment. For me, it’s a lovely way to round out the year.
Although the awards sure will take a central spot, there will also be plenty of other phenomenal activities for everyone present to enjoy. From great entertainment and excellent networking opportunities to outstanding hospitality, the attendees are expected to enjoy every single moment of it!
As laid out on the SBC Awards website, the voting is only open to attendees of 2019 Betting on Football or Betting on Sports/CasinoBeats Summit events.
Other than its official status of being one of the most prestigious recognitions for the best in sports betting and iGaming, the SBC Awards is immensely popular with senior decision-makers from all industry sectors.
Peter Woodfine, Business Development Director for last year’s Best Virtual Sports Product victor Vermantia, reflected:
There’s always a good senior level attendance. SBC are very good at maintaining the quality in terms of attendance, and the numbers certainly seem to be growing. There’s a good balance between the dinner, prize giving and networking, and there’s also usually a bespoke element to the evening. I’ve been to three now and each one has been different, which is very welcome.
Plenty of attendees are viewing the ceremony as a perfect opportunity to, ahead of the Christmas break, catch up with their contacts in a setting that's both relaxing and informal.
SBC Awards 2019 is now its sixth year of rewarding the very best in sports betting and celebrating their collective and individual success. Since the awards night is held on 3 December 2019, it is very close to Christmas and, therefore, can be an additional reason for people to gather and enjoy the Christmas spirit that's just around the corner.
John Cruces, Head of Sponsorships & Marketing Operations at 2018 Sponsorship of the Year winner Dafabet, commented:
There are a number of awards evenings, but we find SBC to be impartial and cover the whole range of the industry. That’s the reason we enter and attend. It’s also a very good networking opportunity on what is always a good night.
Party organisers have given their best to make this event an enjoyable evening for all the attendees and ensure there's plenty of opportunity for networking and celebrating.
If you are going, hope you enjoy your time!
